Aedes has been awarded the redevelopment contract for the historic headquarters of the Fondazione Asilo Mariuccia (FAM) in Porto Valtravaglia on Lake Maggiore.

The project involves the restoration of Villa Ronchetti and its disused spaces, with the aim of expanding FAM's activities, from reception to job placement workshops, from training to recreational activities. This represents an important step towards social inclusion and community development in the province of Varese.

The project will transform the former "Casa Palestra" into two modern residential units, each accommodating ten people, complemented by a multipurpose sports area, designed to the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency. At the same time, the mezzanine level of Villa Ronchetti will be given a new lease of life as a Day Education Center, finally becoming a place that is inclusive and accessible to all thanks to the complete removal of architectural barriers.

With this new project, Aedes confirms its focus on social issues and the local community, for the creation of human-scale and inclusive spaces.
