The positive professional relationship Aedes has with the Borromeo family continues. In addition to the work in progress on Isola Bella, the Scaligera Wing of the Rocca di Angera (VA) is also being restored.
The castle dominates the southern shore of Lake Maggiore, due to its strategic position for controlling traffic, and was purchased by the Borromeo family in 1449, it is now home to the "Museo della Bambola e del Giocattolo" toy museum.
The plans include reinforcement of the structure, the construction of new levels, connecting these to the staircase and lift and other complementary work.
The restoration and development of this fourteenth-century wing will boost the cultural appeal of the castle by creating a space for temporary exhibitions.
